Colin Street Bio

Born and raised in Tasmania, Colin Street spent his formative years surrounded by the raw beauty of Australia’s island state, where a deep connection to music began.

He cut his teeth working with a number of Australian acts, including 2 years with Keith Urban’s band Three Magic Words, mastering the intricacies of live sound at the highest level.

His passion for performance led him to join as bass player of the band Reckless Hearts. The Hearts were signed by legendary manager Glenn Wheatley, recorded at Jon Farnham’s Melbourne studio Gotham, released the EP Rain in Spain and delivered a standout live performance on Hey Hey It’s Saturday, later opening for Farnham on tour.

Street’s subsequent project was a collaboration with his best mate and fellow Hearts member Bruce Holloway.

The Holloway Street debut was a 14 song self titled project and the the duo made the bold decision to chase their dreams in Nashville, Tennessee—the heart of American songwriting.

What began as a fresh start evolved into a masterclass in the craft, writing their way up with new and established talent.

A highlight of the time was penning the song The Moments with Doug Stokes, released by Australian singer Kane Harrison which peaked at No.6 on the Australian Country Charts,

Tragically, two years into their journey, Bruce was taken from us in a brutal motor vehicle incident.

As he dealt with this heavy loss, Colin re-commenced working as an audio engineer.

Behind the board, he honed the craft further with a two-year tenure as engineer for Randy Houser, followed by an extensive eight year run with country star Jon Pardi— interspersed with stints at iconic Nashville venue 3rd and Lindsley blending technical expertise with deep musicality to shape powerful live sounds.

Street spent years, absorbing the nuances of production while building an intimate understanding of what makes a song resonate. All the while, writing— creating, refining, and perfecting an ever-growing catalog of deeply personal songs that blend Tasmanian introspection with Nashville’s storytelling tradition.

Colin’s influences range from the narrative of his Australian songwriting hero Paul Kelly, through to the hooks and melodic rock strains of Tom Petty.

After two decades of dedication and development, Colin is ready to share what he’s been building. With a collection of songs that reflect years of lived experience, musical growth, and artistic vision, he is stepping into the spotlight as both creator and artist.

This is the moment he’s been preparing for.
